Volkswagen is partnering with Chinese startup Xpeng to develop two new electric vehicles for China in the upper B segment by 2026. The G9, a 4.89-meter-long electric SUV, is available in Germany with a 98 kWh battery for up to 570 kilometers and 800-volt technology for fast charging. The G9 is different from Volkswagen’s ID.4 GTX, which offers solid but unexciting VW standard equipment in the interior.
