VW ID.5 GTX: How does the sportiest MEB model measure up?

The ID.5 GTX is a mid-size SUV coupé with a second electric drive under the front bonnet, providing 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque at the rear axle. Its standard range is respectable, with a WLTP range of 520 km, which is 14 kilometers less than the rear-wheel drive model with 150 kW. The all-wheel drive and wider tyres on larger rims make the WLTP range of 520 km only 14 kilometers less.
The latest software updates have improved the rear-wheel-drive models’ charging times and the charging curve, making the GTX more practical. The MEB navigation system is user-friendly, with route announcements telling drivers to turn left at the next traffic light. However, the software in version 3.2 is slow, has a jerky display, and takes a long time to start the vehicle.
