The BYD Atto 3 and MG4 are great, but there is one cheap Chinese electric vehicle that’s not quite there yet…. Opinion

Tesla’s electric vehicles have made significant strides in producing desirable electric vehicles, but their ability to deliver torque without frying tyres or scaring drivers is often underappreciated. The GWM Ora, a cheap Chinese electric vehicle, is not yet as powerful as its predecessors, the BYD Atto 3 and MG4. The car has 126kW and 250Nm, but its tyres seem to struggle to put the torque to the ground in a normal way. The car is five-star NCAP rated and has numerous safety features. While the GWM Ora is cheap, it is not the way forward for electric vehicles, unless one wants to enter the future sideways.
