The 2025 Porsche Taycan is a mid-life rework of the Mission E concept, which was initially viewed as a counter-intuitive move for an electric Porsche. However, the first drive of the Taycan proved it handled well despite its weight and was get-out-of-jail fast. The new model features new styling, suspensions, and a larger 105-kWh Performance Battery Plus with up to 35% more driving range than its predecessor. The rear electric motor delivers up to 109 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque more than before. The Weissach package for the Turbo GT reduces 75-kilograms from the weight by removing the rear seat and one of the charge ports, while adding an oversized rear wing adds 140-kilograms of downforce.
