Tesla is preparing a major software update to improve its Vision features, following the removal of ultrasonic sensors from its vehicles. Tesla Vision, which replaced the ultrasonic sensors, is still unable to offer the functions removed on non-USS Tesla vehicles. This is not the first time Tesla has removed a functional feature with the promise that something better will one day replace it. The removal of ultrasonic sensors has left a huge blind spot where everything can happen without being detected by Tesla Vision.
