Rivian’s head of software development, Wassym Bensaid, has announced significant software updates for its all-electric R1T pickup and R1S SUV models. These updates include adaptive battery range tracking and a unique “drone mode” with augmented reality. Bensaid highlights the importance of Rivian’s software capabilities as electric vehicles continue to advance in complexity. Rivian’s production forecast has been adjusted to 52,000 units, with an SUV set to debut next year.
