Rivian has released the EPA-estimated range of its dual-motor R1T truck with the “Max Pack” battery. The all-electric pickup truck with one motor on each axle can travel 410 miles before depleting its battery. Rivian started making power units at its Normal factory this year, known as “Enduro” motors, which help the automaker cut production costs by about 25% per R1T and R1S that leaves the plant. The middle battery option, believed to have a capacity of 135 kWh, is currently being delivered. The R1T with the “Max Pack” offers a three-mile improvement over the same vehicle with the “Large Pack” and 21-inch tires. The EPA has confirmed the range figures for the dual-motor R1T and R1S with the “Large Pack.”
