The GMC Hummer EV SUV, with its 1,000 horsepower and 9,000-pound curb weight, may soon invade British roads due to its right-hand drive conversion. Currently, GMC only offers a left-hand-drive version, making British Hummers a no-go. Sri Lanka’s Autogroup International has decided to create a right-hand-drive conversion, copying and flipping dashboard panels to create a fiberglass copy of the original. CEO Rob Hill said the Hummer EV’s iconic stature and performance make it a special vehicle. However, importing a Hummer EV SUV to the UK is not inexpensive, with British customers needing to be willing to part with between £185,000 and £190,000.
