Renault CEO Luca de Meo has announced that the all-electric Renault Scenic E-Tech will start at around €40,000 in Europe, undercutting key rivals like the Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Scenic E-Tech sits on the same bespoke electric-car platform as the Nissan Ariya and will go on sale later this year. The Scenic E-Tech’s design combines SUV-derived elements with monobox style, with a lengthy 2.78-metre wheelbase and flat roof to increase interior space. It also focuses on sustainability, with 24% of its materials coming from recycling streams. The Scenic E-Tech is designed for families and their needs, offering a range of up to 385 miles.
