Alfa Romeo is set to launch its flagship electric SUV, the STLA Large, in 2027, aiming to compete with BMW’s iX. The SUV will be built on the STLA Large platform and will have a focus on on-road performance, with a lower ride than typical SUVs. The SUV will surpass the next-generation all-electric Stelvio in size and will be aimed at North American and Chinese markets.
The platform’s 800V architecture promises swift charging capabilities, with a range of around 500 miles. The STLA Brain tech suite, featuring hands-free driving capabilities, an advanced infotainment system, and a digital experience rivaling Tesla, is expected to be part of the SUV’s offerings. The brand is also expected to introduce a sub-compact-sized crossover and may consider a Guilietta compact hatch replacement.
