Mercedes-Benz is preparing to update its EQS and EQE electric vehicles with an improved battery, resulting in a 10 kWh increase in usable capacity. The changes are expected to occur towards the end of 2023 production, resulting in reduced operating temperatures and superior energy efficiency. The EQS SUV will benefit from the new battery, with the 450+ SUV receiving a 31-mile increase on the WLTP cycle. The EQE and EQS sedans will also receive upgrades in 2024, with the 91 kWh battery pack replaced with a 96 kWh unit.
