Mercedes is introducing its Intelligent Park Pilot technology to its all-electric EQE in Germany. The technology, already available on the EQS and S-Class, allows the vehicle to park itself without a driver in certain parking garages. The system requires the driver to book a parking spot using their smart device, and the EQE will find its own spot. The technology is Level 4 autonomous, meaning the driver doesn’t need to be near the car for it to park. Sensors provided by Bosch also need to be installed in the parking garage for the technology to work. The technology will soon be available on the new E-Class and other Mercedes models.
