Lucid Motors, the innovative electric vehicle company, has unveiled the much-anticipated production-ready Lucid Air Sapphire, a luxurious electric super-sports sedan that presents formidable competition to the Tesla Model S Plaid. The Lucid Air Sapphire impressively features an extensive power output of more than 1,200 horsepower, enabling it to achieve an astonishing 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 1.89 seconds.

Characterized as “the world’s first fully electric luxury super-sports sedan,” the Lucid Air Sapphire incorporates a newly developed in-house twin-drive unit, integrating torque vectoring with a passive AWD system. Notably, the Lucid Air Sapphire outpaced renowned competitors like the Tesla Model S Plaid, Bugatti Chiron, and Ducati motorcycle in a quarter-mile race, an accomplishment acknowledged by respected automotive experts.

Lucid recently unveiled the final specifications of the Air Sapphire, confirming its remarkable capabilities. The vehicle touts an impressive 1,234 horsepower and 1,430 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 1.89 seconds. With an upgraded drive unit, the Lucid Air Sapphire accelerates from 0 to 160 km/h in 3.84 seconds and completes a quarter mile in 8.95 seconds, all while achieving a top speed of 328 km/h.
Furthermore, the ultra-high-performance EV demonstrates impressive efficiency, achieving an EPA-estimated range of 683 kilometers with an efficiency rating of 5.78 kilometers per kWh. The Lucid Air Sapphire includes advanced features like a 900V charging system, finely tuned suspension components, in-house developed torque vectoring control algorithms, and traction control.

The vehicle also showcases distinctive design elements such as custom Aero Sapphire wheels, sophisticated adaptive damper control software, and an aluminum roof to enhance vehicle handling and reduce weight. Inside, the car features a 34-inch floating Glass Cockpit, Lucid’s advanced driver assistance system, DreamDrive Pro, and a premium 21-speaker Surreal Sound Pro immersive audio system.
