Kia EV9 test drive: The biggest electric passenger car on the market

The EV9, Kia’s flagship electric vehicle, is weighing approximately 2.5 tonnes and with the Mercedes EQB, is the only other 7-seater SUV available in the Australian market. It comes with a big price tag, starting at $97,000 before on-road costs. The entry-level EV9 Air starts at $97,000, while the top of the line GT can reach up to $121,000 before on-road costs.
The EV9 matches Audi E-Tron and Jaguar I-Pace on the aerodynamic performance scorecard, with low wind noise in the cabin and good road noise. Safety features vary on the model, with the base Air model offering enough but missing out on features found on the Earth and GT-Line models.
