The 2024 Jeep Recon electric off-roader is set to offer a high-powered drivetrain with up to 600hp (447kW), according to a report by MoparInsiders. The Recon is set to roll out from Jeep’s Toluca, Mexico factory in the second half of 2024 as the first electric Jeep on sale in North America. It will be one of three new electric Jeeps, alongside the luxury Wagoneer S and the city-sized Avenger, going on sale in Australia in the coming years. The Recon will sit between the Jeep Grand Cherokee and four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in size and will be offered in three trim levels, including the entry-level Sport and the highest trim level, the Moab. The Recon will still be ‘Trail Rated’, with off-road tyres, underbody protection, and an ‘e-locker’ differential.
