In a battle of electric SUVs, the Nissan Ariya takes on the Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Nissan Ariya, Nissan’s second electric SUV, is vying with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, a new competitor in the market. The Ariya offers seven trim levels, a choice of front- or all-wheel drive, and two battery sizes. The Mach-E has a higher range and EPA-estimated range of 224 miles to 312 miles on a single full charge. Edmunds’ experts compared the two EVs, finding the Mustang Mach-E to be the better buy.
The Ariya has between 214 and 389 horsepower, while the Mach-E is sportier around turns and more fun to drive. Both have touchscreens and digital displays in the cabins, with the Mach-E offering more hands-free driving assist features. The Ariya is more comfortable, with a smoother ride and cushier front seats. The pricing for both EVs is neck-and-neck, with the Mustang Mach-E offering more value for money.
