Ford Recalls 35,000 Mustang Mach-Es Citing Battery System Hazard

Ford is recalling 34,762 Mustang Mach-E electric crossovers due to potential overheating in high-voltage battery main contactors. The recall, which affects extended-range rear-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive, and GT models, is due to DC fast charging and repeated wide open pedal events. Owners will be notified between October 30 and November 10. Ford has issued 46 recalls this year, potentially affecting 4.9 million vehicles in the US.
