Ford has announced that the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT will be its fastest electric vehicle (EV) ever, thanks to software upgrades and a new in-house motor. The new rear motor is lighter and delivers increased torque, making it a standard feature across all trims for the 2024 model year. The Performance Upgrade, which grants Mustang Mach-E GT owners access to an additional 100 lb-ft of torque, enables the EV to achieve a 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds, faster than both the Tesla Model Y Performance and the base Porsche Macan 4 Electric.
