The Polestar 2 starts from £48,950 and can be upgraded with optional extras, increasing its price. The Long range Single motor variant has a new unit driving the back wheels, producing 295bhp and 490Nm, reducing the 0-62mph time to 6.2 seconds. The range has also seen a significant uplift, with an 82kWh battery providing a WLTP-certified range between 379 and 407 miles. Charging speeds have also improved, with a 205kW maximum rate, allowing the Polestar 2 to charge from 10-80% in 28 minutes. The standard safety kit list has grown longer, and blind-spot warning with steering intervention is now included as standard.

The Polestar 2 is the winner in the comparison, with the Model 3 remaining one of the outstanding options in the segment. The in-car tech is impressive, and the spacious cabin is impressively spacious. However, the ride is still a little too firm for a stylish family car.
