Chinese automaker ZEEKR is considering selling its quad-motor Tesla Model S Plaid competitor in Europe, following its direct call out to Tesla. The company has already introduced two models, including the X SUV, and has announced expansions beyond China and Europe with partnerships in four new Middle Eastern countries. The 001 FR, a quad-motor performance version of the 001, has a 0-100 km/h time of 2.07 seconds, slightly edging out Tesla’s 2.1-second acceleration. ZEEKR is currently evaluating the cost to homologate the “future road” EV for the European market and is considering bringing a 100 kWh, longer-range version of the 001 to the EU first.
