The 2024 Renault Megane E-Tech has arrived in Australia, transforming from a city-focused, petrol-powered hatchback into a fully-electric crossover SUV. The Megane E-Tech is powered by the broader Alliance’s CMF-EV electric platform, which already serves in Nissan’s Ariya electric SUV and will also underpin Alpine’s high-performance electric crossover coupe. The Megane E-Tech is lightweight and brimming with recycled materials, making it an environmental poster child. The price for the Megane E-Tech in Australia is $64,990 plus on-road costs, which will translate to around $70,000 drive-away. The EV60 is powered by a single 160kW/300Nm electric motor and a 60kWh battery pack. The Megane E-Tech can cover the dash from 0–100km/h in a middling 7.4 seconds and has a claimed 454km driving range.
