Polestar, a Chinese-owned Swedish-based EV brand, is set to launch its most important model, the Polestar 4, in 2024. The mid-sized SUV is expected to compete with electric SUVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, BMW iX3, Audi Q4 e-Tron, Subaru Solterra, and Toyota bZ4X. The Polestar 4 is also rumored to face the Porsche Macan EV as its prime competitor. The Polestar 4 is priced under the luxury car tax threshold ($91,387 for 2024/25), allowing salaried employees to save thousands each year by funding the car from their pre-tax income. The Polestar 4 Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack comes with 22-inch wheels and a 100kWh battery, providing up to 610km of range in the Single Motor model and 580km in the Dual Motor.
