2024 Polestar 2 review

The 2024 Polestar 2 has been updated in Australia, with base versions switched from front- to rear-wheel drive and more range across the line-up. The updated model produces 200kW of power and 490Nm of torque in Single Motor variants, while the Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack goes head-to-head with the Model 3 Performance. The Polestar 2 can be DC fast-charged at up to 135kW with the 69kWh battery and 205kW with the 82kWh battery.
The range consists of three different powertrains and option packages, including a 10.15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Google service connectivity, and wireless phone chargers. The Polestar 2 has a five-star ANCAP safety rating. However, the changes under the skin don’t extend enough to fix all gripes with the model, making it more suitable for couples and couples with occasional rear seats.
