Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech is producing the Kona Electric, the company’s first electric vehicle (EV) in Europe. The Kona Electric is expected to account for 15% of the Czech Republic plant’s total production output by 2024. The vehicle is available in two specifications: 48.4 kWh and 65.4 kWh. Hyundai commissioned LG Energy Solution to produce battery cells for the Kona Electric, which are assembled at HMMC. The vehicle is expected to be exported to 20 countries.
