The BMW i7 M70 xDrive, weighing over 2,700 kilos, is an electric sedan designed to replace the great V12 for a new generation of buyers. It offers a range of 474 km and a 101.7 kWh battery, with a Max Range mode allowing for rapid DC charging up to 195 kW. The interior is designed with high-quality materials, including leather and cashmere seats, and a 31-inch rear entertainment screen with an 8K resolution, incorporating Amazon Fire TV functionality.

The i7 is more agile than its size and weight suggests, thanks to its M-specific adaptive air suspension and active roll stabilization. With a price starting at $185,000, it occupies a small niche, similar to a Mercedes EQS or Lucid Air, and aims to make a smooth transition between the two models. However, its range places it at the bottom of the hierarchy of large electric luxury sedans.
