The 2023 GWM Ora Standard Range is a new electric vehicle from GWM, starting at $39,990 plus on-road costs. The vehicle has received a five-star safety rating from ANCAP, Australia and New Zealand’s new car safety assessment body. The Ora comes with seven airbags, forward autonomous emergency braking, rear AEB, rear cross-traffic alert, lane assists, blind-spot monitoring, and speed sign recognition. It also offers door open warning, driver drowsiness detection, adaptive cruise control, and more.

The Ora has an official energy consumption rating of 14.0 kilowatt hours per 100km, ahead of the Nissan Leaf and MG 4 Excite 51. It has a claimed driving range of 310km on a single charge. The Ora offers a smooth, balanced, and enjoyable on-road experience, but its electrical issues, such as brake regen and an unresponsive touchscreen, make it style over substance.
