The Ford E-Transit, Australia’s first electric vehicle, is a large van with mid-roof long-wheelbase and high-roof long-wheelbase configurations. It uses the electric motor and battery pack from the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV. The price starts at $104,990, but it is $11,000 cheaper than its closest electric rival. The vehicle is surprisingly comfortable, quiet, and perky, with a claimed top speed of 131km/h (GPS) and 134km/h (speedometer). The Ford Mustang Mach-E electric motor and battery pack make the E-Transit feel lighter and more nimble than a delivery van. While the E-Transit is a good choice for fleet managers, it needs more real-world driving range.
